| Hush Puppy Cooking Instructions |
Measure 1 cup of Dixie Lily Hush Puppy Mix into a bowl.
Add 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons water and stir. Let stand for 10 minutes without stirring.
Drop a teaspoon of mixture into a skillet of hot cooking oil where fish has been fried. (1/4 inch of oil is sufficient)
Turn once when brown on one side.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Serve hot with fish.
For deep fat fryers, heat oil to 375 degrees F.
Top Tip: Rinse the spoon in cold water between each dropping of batter.
